On World Malaria Day, we are proud to announce that Comic Relief and GSK are supporting the roll-out of the Zero Malaria Starts With Me campaign in two new countries – Ghana and Sierra Leone. Both countries will be supported in their efforts to step up the fight against the disease; by advocacy action tank Speak Up Africa, which is partnering with Comic Relief, GSK and the RBM Partnership to end malaria. Today, malaria impacts Africa more than anywhere else in the world with ten of the 11 highest malaria burdened-countries located on the continent.

Livingstone, Zambia - On February 28th and March 1st, 2019 malaria partners joined together at the Annual Round Table hosted by the J.C. Flowers Foundation’s Isdell:Flowers Cross Border Malaria Initiative. The Isdell:Flowers Cross Border Malaria Initiative partners with national governments, the Anglican Church, NGOs, and community members to eliminate malaria along the shared borders of Angola, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Addis Ababa, 10 February 2019 – African Heads of State and Government adopted the 2018 African Union Malaria Progress Report which was prepared by malaria experts from countries in Africa and in partnership with the African Union, the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) and the RBM Partnership to End Malaria.
